Youth Mental Health Research and Resources
Our mission is to research and develop tools to monitor and report on the state of youth mental health in Ireland.
The main aim of the Institute is to provide a sound basis for research into the causes of youth mental health, to analyse the resulting data and to use this data to inform our Social Policy Reseach.
The Institute aims to highlight the impact of social policy on the mental health of the youth of Ireland and particularly the red category of most at-risk young people who are in need of the most urgent support.
The Institute's statistics unit was established in 2021 to provide a sound basis for research into the causes of youth mental health, to analyse the resulting data and to use this data to inform our Social Policy Research.
Most of our statistical research is carried out online using social media polls and questionaires as this allows us to target our key demographics of 14-22 age groups with a much higher response rate than standard cold call techniques.
We try, where possible, to publish all of our research and statistical analyses in the public domain. Some materials are client confidential and therefore cannot be published by us. From 2023 we will be moving our archive online (more details to follow)
